This adorable fair isle nested heart hat knitting pattern has cute rows of multicolored nested hearts on a cute pink background, perfect for your baby or toddler!
I don’t know about you guys, but I am ALL ready for Valentine’s Day this year, hence this cute new Nested Heart Hat knitting pattern. Deep into year two of heavy stuff for all of us, it feels good to see pink and red and cute hearts all over the place, do you know what I mean?
Every year in January, I sit down with my sketchbook and worry that I won’t come up with any more Valentine’s Day knitting pattern ideas. And every year I am wrong. Last year I knit a pretty Scalloped Heart pattern that reminded me of my cute 80’s snowsuit from my childhood.
And this year I’m doing a really cute and kind of geometric nested heart pattern. This cute pattern has two rows up hearts, one in pink and one in coral that nest into each other top to bottom. I really love this pattern and hope to use it more, I’m kind of shocked I haven’t done it before, to be honest!
I knit this one making the two rows of hearts different colors. This does result in two rounds where you are knitting with three colors of yarn in the same round, but it’s very manageable. If you’d prefer not to do that, you can absolutely make your two rows of hearts the same color and then you won’t have that issue! It’s totally up to you!
Honestly, I think this one would look super cute in all red with white hearts, for example. There are lots of ways to customize it!
If you knit a nested heart hat, don’t forget to share it with me and link your project, I always love to see what you all knit!
