Valentine Heart Wreath Knitting Pattern

This adorable Valentine Heart Wreath knitting pattern is such a fun Valentine’s Day knit and it makes a great Valentine’s Day decoration!

I’ve officially jumped on the wreath knitting train. I didn’t know how satisfying knit wreaths would be. And I love a project that will probably be useful forever!

This cute Valentine heart wreath knitting pattern has alternating sections of light and medium pink with hot pink purled bands separating them. The finished heart wreath is approximately 12 inches in diameter.

Unlike some of my other wreaths, the Valentine heart wreath is knit flat and the hearts are knit as intarsia colorwork. If you prefer, you could certainly knit each section with only the background color and then add the heart motifs at the end with duplicate stitch, that would also work just fine.

Once the wreath is knit flat, you seam up the long ends to form a long tube. The structure of the wreath is a 2 inch diameter pool noodle bent into a circle and secured with the strongest tape you can find. I find my think pool noodles at the dollar store. Our store has them year-round!

This knit wreath pattern is a really quick and easy knitting project but it sure gives you a lot of bang for your buck and will add some fun pops of color to your Valentine’s Day decor!

Gauge: 19 stitches = 4 inches

• Worsted weight yarn
• US 7 (4.5 mm) 16″ circular knitting needles
• Yarn needle
• 2 inch diameter pool noodle
• Strong tape
