Knit up this adorable Trick or Treat hat for your baby or toddler to wear on Halloween night! You’ll definitely get a chuckle when you ring the doorbell!
As you may have noticed, I am in love with putting words on baby hats. Like for this Halloween Trick or Treat hat knitting pattern, for example.
I think there is just something truly enjoyable to me about the idea of baby, who can’t talk, still communicating with people anyway. I guess there’s a reason there are some many onesies with cute sayings on them, right?
Imagine you’re pushing your baby in their stroller around the neighborhood while big brother/big sister wears a costume and runs from door to door. You run into a friend, they peek into the stroller and see that your cute baby is saying “Trick or Treat!”
They’re definitely going to chuckle.
And then they’ll give the baby some candy which of course, because they’re a baby and can’t eat candy, you’ll be forced, as a very safety conscious parent, to confiscate it.
And once you’ve confiscated the candy, you MUST, as a responsible adult, eat the candy, so your little one doesn’t get their hands on it. I mean, it just has to be done. Take one for the team.
Unless it’s a Twix. Then you can send it to me and I’ll take care of it for you.
In the meantime, I love this trick or treat hat so much. I chose to put the little black checkmark next to “treat” both because I want to get treats and my little ones are delicious treats themselves, but if you’ve got a slightly mischievous toddler on your hands, by all means, put the checkmark next to “trick”!
