This cute little team of reindeer hat knitting pattern has an entire team of cute reindeer around the brim ready to pull Santa’s sleigh!
I think this team of reindeer hat knitting pattern turned out so cute. I love their little reindeer heads lined up around the middle like they’re all ready to pull Santa’s sleigh.
I love their cute little reindeer antlers. And I especially love that most of them have black noses with one shiny red exception. That little pop of color makes you smile and think about my all-time favorite Christmas movie.
I know the misfit reindeer movie is not everyone’s favorite holiday movie, but I love it. You really can’t beat the magic of stop motion animation and Burl Ives. You know what I mean? Also, I have to make sure my kids watch it so the understand the references in Elf which is obviously another one of the greatest holiday movies of all time.
But I digress. This cute team of reindeer hat is knit in the round and it’s a fun and easy one to knit for your little Christmas baby or toddler. There is one row, with the eyes, that requires 3 colors, but if you really don’t want to juggle more than 2 colors even for just one round, you can totally skip the eyes and add them in as duplicate stitch embroidery later.
The adorable reindeer noses are tiny french knots which is a fun and easy technique and I like that strategy for a baby hat to minimize choking hazards. If you’ve never made a french knot before, don’t worry, it’s super easy and my pattern has step by step photos! I also like this tutorial if you want to see it in real life.
So are you ready to get started and knit your own team of reindeer hat?!
