This cute raindrop hat knitting pattern has blue raindrops and a white fluffy cloud on top, it’s a perfect spring knit for your baby or toddler!
Good morning, friends! You know they say April showers bring May flowers! So today we’re talking about my cute new raindrop hat knitting pattern. This adorable hat is knit in the round and has an adorable all-over raindrop pattern with a fluffy scalloped white cloud on top.
I love a good hat knitting pattern that incorporates the top of the hat into the design. My petal hat, for example, is probably my favorite version of that. But I really do love how this one came out with the scalloped white cloud on top.
I also made sure that the decrease section is all one color because, let’s be honest, decreasing, using double pointed knitting needles and dealing with more than one color of yarn at a time, is not the easiest thing in the world. (Though it’s worth it sometimes!)
Don’t forget, if you hate double pointed knitting needles, then you should definitely consider learning the magic loop method for knitting. That will let you use one long circular knitting needles for projects in the round and you’ll pretty much never have to deal with DPN’s again! Doesn’t that sound amazing?
Anyway, back to this cute raindrop hat, I have a whole bunch of rainbow knitting patterns but I have never done one with rainDROPS, so that’s a fun spring twist. I don’t think I could live somewhere that it rains all the time, but I do like a good rainy day (as long as I don’t really need to be out in in). But give me a good rainstorm and a book and I’m happy!
