Hi there! I love a good rainbow hat knitting pattern. It’s always worth weaving in the ends to me and this Peekaboo Rainbow Hat knitting pattern is no exception. I love how there is just a cute little hint of rainbow stripes peeking out no the back and sides. Don’t worry, if your brim rolls too much, it’s easy to tack it in place with just a couple tiny stitches.

I also love the way a gathered brim works for kids. It keeps the hat out of their eyes a little better than a regular straight across brim. Of course, we had ours pulled down pretty far for the photos but even so, Baby V can see perfectly! It’s got kind of a 20’s vibe like this which makes me chuckle.

And did I mention, rainbow? I mean, I should be able to stop there because it’s a proven thing that rainbow colored things are always superior to boring old plain colors. Ok, maybe that’s my opinion but my kids agree. I love that fun rainbows and 80’s colors have come back, it’s so a rainbow hat knitting pattern is fun for me too!

This cute gathered peekaboo rainbow hat knitting pattern is a super quick knit and it’s knit in the round. There are a few ends to weave in at the end for the rainbow stripes but not too many. And the best part is that you gather the hat right at the cast on so it covers any spots where the stripes jag.

Gauge: 20 stitches = 4 inches

• Worsted weight yarn in light gray, pink, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple
• US 7 16″ circular knitting needles
• US 7 double pointed needles
• Yarn needle
