These bright, fun & adorable stuffed cloud & rainbow knitting patterns are the most fun you’ll have knitting all year!
Friends…I have not had this much fun knitting in a long time. I mean, generally speaking, I do enjoy knitting. Obviously. But knitting a fluffy cloud and rainbow knitting pattern was straight up FUN.
I meant for them to be home decor type items that could put out on maybe your mantel in Spring or in a nursery or something. But I dare you not to want to hug them when they’re finished.
They might be Baby V’s favorite thing I’ve ever made. (And at this point, she has a quite a knitting pattern palette!)
While I was working on these, she came over about a million times to ask when I’d be finished and the MINUTE they were photographed she grabbed them and hasn’t given them back yet. She mostly just sets them up places and enjoys looking at them which is pretty much the cutest thing ever.
If you can ignore the rainbow ends to weave in (they really don’t take that long, I swear) this is a quick and easy project as long as you follow the directions.
And I recommend stitch markers as noted to help you keep track. But otherwise, it’s easy peasy and they finish up really quickly.
No weird techniques, no 9 million pieces to sew together (in fact, the rainbow is knit all in one piece!)
All you really need are some rainbow colored yarn and some white yarn and a little time.
Both the rainbow and the cloud are knit flat but I do recommend knitting the rainbow shape on circular knitting needles (I specify this in the pattern) because the flexible cable is helpful.
I think you guys are really going to like this one…
Make sure you share your knit cloud & rainbow with me when you make a set!
