This adorable Peekaboo chick hat knitting pattern features a cute little yellow chick hatching out of it’s shell. It’s the perfect Spring knit for anyone from baby to child to adult!

The Peekaboo series of knitting patterns on my site are so much fun. This Peekaboo Chick Hat knitting pattern features a cute little yellow chick hatching out of its shell and waving its wings!
This is perfect Spring hat knitting pattern AND the perfect Easter hat knitting pattern. It would even be cute year round for a farm visit or anyone who just thinks chicks are adorable!
This cute chick hat is knit in the round with worsted weight yarn on circular and double pointed knitting needles. You can also use the magic loop technique if you’d prefer.
After you have knit a fantastic basic knit hat (this pattern has been test thousands of times!) then the hatching chick motif is added at the end with duplicate stitch for knitting. If you have not learned how to do duplicate stitch or need a refresher, I have a great duplicate stitch tutorial right here on my site.
My best tip for making your own Peekaboo chick hat is to make sure that the background color has enough contrast to really make the yellow and white yarns POP, you don’t want your cute little chick to blend in!
Are you ready to knit a chick hat? Cheep, cheep!
