Knit an adorable Easter Bunny Hat with this easy fair isle knitting pattern, it has cute little bunnies with fluffy tails all around the middle!
Ok, seriously. How cute is this little Easter Bunny hat? with the fluffy white tails? Although, let’s be real, I showed this to O and what is a 6 year old’s first reaction? “Haha! It’s bunny BUTTS!” So I apologize if you have a 6 year old and make this hat. At least you’ll be prepared for the reaction, right? (And no pretending the love of potty humor is just MY 6 year old. I know that isn’t true!)
Anyway, whether you see “bunny butts” or cute little cottontails, this Easter bunny hat is super adorable. I love that it’s Easter-y without screaming EASTER! In fact, bunnies are Spring-y enough that you can totally wear this even if you don’t celebrate Easter.
All you need is a basic knowledge of fair isle knitting (this is a pretty easy pattern) and a scrap of chenille or eyelash yarn for the tails. It’s much simpler than it looks. It would be so cute in any other pastel spring color too! Like the mint green of Baby V’s shirt or a nice sky blue!
The pattern includes Sizes 0-3 months, 6 months, 12 months, 2T+
Gauge: 20 stitches = 4 inches
Supply List:
Worsted weight yarn in purple and white
Scrap of chenille or eyelash yarn in white
US 7 16″ circular knitting needles
(If you need help, my favorite knitting reference book for everyone from beginners to advanced knitters is THIS ONE!)
