This adorable Easter Chick knitting pattern makes one very cute little chick hatching out of his Easter Egg shell!
Ok, so after I wrote up the Little Easter Bunny knitting pattern last week, I decided that the cute mama and baby bunnies needed a little knit Easter chick friend. Duh, right? In the month of April, don’t bunnies and chicks go together like Cadbury eggs and jelly beans?
This adorable Easter Chick knitting pattern is perfect for Spring and makes the cutest Easter decoration around. I would love to see a whole little flock of them on someone’s Spring mantle, wouldn’t that be so fun?
This little guy is a super quick knit. He’s knit in the round (because I hate both purling and seaming) and the pattern includes detailed instructions AND step by step photos including how to add some dried beans to the bottom so your little knit Easter chick can stand up on his own.
You don’t want him to fall over and break his Easter egg shell!
Please note that this pattern does include just 2 rounds of colorwork/stranded knitting to make the broken Easter eggshell pattern but it’s really very easy.
I just love this little guy and his adorable wings, he looks like he either wants to try and fly right away, or maybe he just needs a cuddly hug. Either way, super cute. Tell me you don’t want to snuggle this little chick?!
Oh, and if you hate DPN’s (which I can understand) you definitely need to learn the magic loop method which would work nicely for the Easter Chick knitting pattern. After that you can happily donate all of your double pointed knitting needles and never wrestle with them ever again!
