Print these cute printable Easter egg coupons and hide them inside your Easter eggs for a fun and candy free Easter!
A few years ago we started putting Easter egg coupons inside our Easter eggs and our kids love it!
So, I’m curious, how do you do Easter egg hunts where you live? Do you only go to the giant community egg “hunt”? Do you hunt at home?
But when I was a kid, we always had an Easter egg hunt at home. The Easter bunny would hide eggs all over INSIDE our house. But I’ve heard from some people that if they had hidden eggs at home, in their family they’re always OUTSIDE.
When I was little, the Easter bunny also always hid the actual hard boiled eggs that we dyed. But I assume, as we’ve all gotten older and wiser, not so many people are leaving hardboiled eggs out around their house all night and plastic eggs have become the norm. Is that what you do?
The upside to this, is if one is never found, it’s not a stinky disaster. And you can put fun little things inside the Easter eggs. The Easter Bunny can also reuse the same eggs each year.
But the downside of those plastic eggs that open, from a parental point of view is…so…much….candy…
Of course we do some candy. But I prefer candy-free Easter eggs so I have experimented with putting other things inside. One year we did Lego minifigs for O, or we also do stickers. But the most popular by far has been Easter egg coupons.
I mean, what kid doesn’t love a coupon?
All you have to do is download these, print them out, trim and put them inside the plastic eggs. Easiest Easter eggs ever!
And because I can totally understand the frustration of finding a cute printable that you can’t customize, I have two versions for you guys. The BLANK printable Easter egg coupons have lines where you can write what your coupon is good for. Maybe that’s extra screen time or a cookie or whatever works for your family.
And then the other set of PRE-PRINTED printable Easter egg coupons have coupon ideas already on them. These are perfect if you don’t have a lot of time (me!).
I tried to pick rewards that are pretty generic, easy and won’t hugely disrupt your daily life when they’re redeemed, like “extra bedtime story” or “skip making the bed”. Basically your kids can redeem them anytime and it won’t be a big deal but it will still feel like a treat to them.
Because how annoying would it be if you’re just going about your business and your kid tries to redeem a coupon for ” stay up an extra 2 hours” or “trip to a waterpark” on a random Tuesday night?? I’d never do that to you guys!
