This adorable conversation hearts knitting pattern comes in 2 sizes and 8 different cute Valentine’s Day sayings so you can fill your own candy dish!
One of my most popular Valentine’s Day knitting pattern is my Love Notes Hats knitting pattern, knit in pastel candy colors with cute Valentine’s Day sayings on them. But this year I finally knit up some actual knit heart shapes to look like conversation hearts candy!
This Conversation Hearts knitting pattern is the most adorable Valentine’s Day decor knitting pattern I’ve ever come up with. I tried to choose cute candy sayings that would appeal to the most people but let me tell you, when I opened a bag of candy to use for photos there are some really weird ones these days.
Also, totally unrelated, but the candy stamping quality control is terrible. Who do I need to talk to about that? Anyone have a contact in Big Candy?
Anyway, I started out knitting the large size hearts but I decided that wasn’t enough and you all needed options. So I also designed a small size knit heart. The large knit hearts are approximately 10.5 inches x 12 inches and the small knit hearts are about 7.5 inches by 8 inches. In terms of depth, you can stuff them as much or as little as you want!
And of course, if I’m going to give you two different sizes of hearts to knit then you’re also going to need two different sets of color charts for the duplicate stitch conversation heart sayings. Yep, I’ve got you covered. If I had more time, I might even do a smaller size. Maybe next year? Let me know if you’re interested!
This conversation hearts knitting patter is knit flat on straight knitting needles. You will need an extra knitting needle or a stitch holder to complete the top parts of the hearts. After you have knit your heart shapes, you will add the conversation heart designs with duplicate stitch for knitting.
