This cute heart flowers hat has bright colorful heart shaped flowers knit around the brim, perfect for Valentine’s day for your baby or toddler!
Valentine’s Day is my favorite holiday to decorate for, and also one of my favorite to knit for. I love the colors, they’re fun and happy. And I love that with hearts, you can pretty much wear them all year round (especially with babies) and no one is going to be surprised that you’re wearing a “Valentine’s Day” hat in the fall.
Really, hearts and love are a year round motif. This cute heart flowers hat is no exception. These adorable heart shaped flowers on a sky blue background are a fun and easy knit. I was inspired by my Spring Flowers hat except this time I made cute heart flowers in pink. They’d be really cute in red or light pink or really any other color as well.
The other great thing about Valentine’s Day is that it’s a bright spot of color in the depths of winter. Just when you’re giving up hope that winter will ever be over (especially this year) there’s a fun colorful holiday. I know some people think it’s just a made up holiday, and I agree when it comes to putting pressure on yourself or your loved ones. But as a fun excuse to enjoy pink and candy, well, you’ll never convince me not to celebrate!
I mean, can you really imagine the entire month of February without a break in the middle? It would be terrible! Anyway, back to this cute hat. This is a fun one because it uses lots of colors, but never more than two per round so it’s actually pretty simple colorwork and a great pattern to practice your tension.
If you knit one, don’t forget to share it with me!
