The candy cane stripe hat knitting pattern is an adorable Christmas baby hat with alternating candy cane stripes on a gray background, it’s the perfect holiday knit!
We’re going all in on the red and white with this cute candy cane stripe hat knitting pattern. I think it looks particularly adorable with this red and white striped shirt. Hopefully you guys don’t think it’s overkill!
This is a fun and easy christmas baby hat pattern to knit with alternating stripes of red and white candy cane stripe on a gray background. If you’re working on your colorwork/fair isle knitting skills, this is a great one to grab. It’s really just alternating colors over and over so you can work on your tension without having to stress about the pattern too much!
If you haven’t ever tried fair isle knitting (knitting with more than one color per row/round) what are you waiting for?! It’s easiest to do in the round, like this hat and once you learn how to do it, you can make so many awesome projects.
After learning the basic knitting skills, I think learning fair isle knitting should be near the top of the list to tackle next!
Obviously I knit this cute baby hat knitting pattern in red and white stripes to look like candy canes, but don’t forget it would be really cute in other color combinations too! I can imagine it in lots of different colors. You could knit it in sports team colors, or maybe Harry Potter wizarding house colors. You could even knit it to match your little one’s winter coat or favorite sweater!
If you knit the candy cane stripe hat \, don’t forget to share it with me, I love to see what you all come up with, it is the highlight of my job!
