This pretty geometric winter mountain hat fair isle knitting pattern knits up beautifully in two colors of worsted weight yarn!
So I’m calling this fair isle knitting pattern the Winter Mountain Hat because that’s what the colors and shapes remind me of. A nice steely gray on the bottom and an icy, wintry blue on top. I think I’m going to have design more of these fair isle knitting patterns where the colors switch like this, I love the effect!
But honestly, naming a fair isle knitting pattern is so tricky, do you name it by the shapes? By the colors? By what you were thinking about while you designed it? You guys, I totally have no idea! I’m starting to understand what that trend where everyone gives their products women’s names is so popular. If could just call this the Chloe knitting pattern that would be so much easier!
I’m curious to know, if you this were your fair isle knitting pattern, what would you have called it? I’m so terrible at naming things, honestly, it’s a miracle that both of my children have actual names and I don’t just call them #1 and #2, ha!
