Knit up this adorable Thanksgiving Turkey Hat knitting pattern and use duplicate stitch to add the sweet turkey on the front, Happy Thanksgiving!
Well, it’s that time of year where everyone who celebrates begins to argue about when is the appropriate time to put up Christmas decorations. Honestly, I think you should do whatever makes you happy. If you want to eat Thanksgiving dinner with your Christmas tree up, do it.
But I do definitely think you should knit up my Thankful Thanksgiving Turkey hat knitting pattern for your little one. How cute would this be for a first Thanksgiving? Or second, or third…
This cute Thanksgiving knitting pattern is knit using duplicate stitch which is my current favorite way to add designs to knitting projects after the fact. If you have never tried duplicate stitch, this duplicate stitch turkey pattern is a great one to work on, it’s kind of a cross between knitting and embroidery and in my opinion, easier than fair isle or intarsia!
And now that we’ve gotten past the Christmas tree argument we can move on the more important contentious discussion…what Thanksgiving side is the best? Stuffing? Mac and Cheese? Do you put marshmallows on your sweet potatoes? Greens? Or perhaps the MOST divisive Thanksgiving question of all time…cranberries from a can or fresh?? Tell me all of your Thanksgiving side dish ideas, I’m dying for some new recipes!
And hey, if you’re not the one cooking this year, bring this cute Thanksgiving Turkey Hat knitting pattern to work on while the turkey is in the oven. You could have the duplicate stitch completed before it’s carved! Are you ready to start knitting?
