The Mary Lace Cable Cowl knitting pattern is an easy lace pattern knit in the round with a pretty pattern of intertwined bands around the middle!
You guys, I knit up the Mary Lace Cable Cowl for my aunt for Christmas this year and totally fell in love with the pattern. I think she liked it too!
Have I ever designed a lace cowl knitting pattern before? Nope. Did that stop me? Nope! And I looooove the pretty intertwined lace bands on this cowl. It’s cozy, soft, has a lovely drape and is such a gorgeous pattern. I think I might be a lace designing addict…
I will suggest, if you knit this pattern, that you don’t choose a yarn with a lot of colors or speckles, you won’t be able to see the lace pattern very well. It looks lovely in this hand-dyed DK yarn though, don’t you think?
This pattern has BOTH written and charted instructions and is knit in the round. It’s fairly simple so if you’re new to knitting lace, you should be able to handle it. And if you make your own Mary Lace Cable Cowl, please don’t forget to share your project with me!
