This classic Double Diamond Hat knitting pattern looks complicated but it’s actually a really easy and fun pattern for newborns, babies and toddlers!
The double diamond hat is my newest fair isle knitting pattern and I love this one A LOT. It looks like a complicated pattern but this band of interlocking diamonds made of smaller diamonds is actually really easy to knit. And since there are only 10 rounds of fair isle knitting for this double diamond hat, it works up quickly and you get a lot of bang for your buck!
The double diamond hat pattern repeats all the way around the crown of the hat and will look great in any color combination that you choose. I picked a pinky red and a warm gray called “linen” for my sample. But I can imagine it in shades of blue and green or pinks or even white and navy! Baby V liked this one, she kept saying, “The pink hat! The pink hat!”
