Knit some cute fruit with this adorable Strawberry Knitting pattern, these cute berries will become your next knitting obsession!
Nothing screams Spring more than fresh strawberries so this year I decided I definitely need to design a knit strawberry.
This one comes out to about 2 1/4 inches wide and 3 3/4 inches tall, so they’re larger than life size but not giant. It’s a good size because they’re a good size to use for decor, but they’re also a good size to play with. And they’re not tiny and fiddly to knit because who has the time and patience for that?
I laughed out loud when I started photographing the knit strawberries next to real strawberries because they’re so fun and joyful. And I’m pretty happy with the shape and details, they’re obviously not real, but they’re a good knit interpretation.
If you are ready to knit a strawberry, you’ll need to knit in the round using double pointed knitting needles or the magic loop method. You’ll also need basic knowledge of Fair Isle knitting techniques to add the strawberry seeds.
If you hate Fair Isle, you can certainly add the seeds with duplicate stitch, but I would do it before you stuff and finish the strawberry so you can hide the ends inside.
Are you ready to knit a Spring strawberry knitting pattern with me? Let’s do it!
