Crayon Scarf Knitting Pattern

This adorable crayon scarf knitting pattern is as much fun to knit as it is to wear, especially for Back to School or Teacher Appreciation!

When I finished up this crayon scarf knitting pattern last summer it was too close to Fall for anyone to knit one before school started. So I saved it for this year and am releasing it with plenty of knitting time! Although it might not be so chilly for Back to School time depending on where you live, this would be adorable for photos. And it will sure be cute to wear all school year long when the temperatures do drop.

What I love about crayon-themed knits is that you can make them in any color you or the intended recipient likes. You just need a darker and lighter tone of the same color. For this sample I knit my crayon scarf in pink. It would be so cute, for more than one child, to make a few in different colors. I can see the group photo now!

This crayon scarf knitting pattern is knit flat with worsted weight yarn. You will need a lighter and darker version of the same color and scraps of black yarn. That’s really it, this is a super easy one and totally suitable for beginning knitters!

Sizes included: Child, Adult

Gauge: 19 stitches = 4 inches

• Worsted weight yarn in light & dark pink and black
• US 7 (4.5 mm) 16″ circular knitting needles
• Yarn needle
