Don’t panic if you ran out of time, these last minute DIY Halloween Costumes are simple enough to make today!
I don’t know about you guys but I have a recurring nightmare where I’m super late for something I’m not prepared for. And usually I need something specific for the event and can’t find it. Like a certain pair of shoes or my jacket.
Waiting until the last minute for anything is kind of my nightmare….Doesn’t mean I’m a super planner and it never happens. But I sure don’t enjoy it when it does!
Don’t worry if you waited too long for Halloween though, I’ve got you covered with a whole bunch of last minute DIY Halloween Costumes. You can make most of these quickly and out of things you probably already have at home, like solid colored clothing, duct tape, cardboard boxes, posterboard etc.
Some of them are even just regular clothes combined to make something obvious! I love ideas like those so much. I think the magician and bunny combo might be my favorite. It’s definitely a duh-why-didn’t-I-think-of-thant situation!
And let me also say, that just because you waited until the last minute to figure out a Halloween costume, does NOT mean it’s going to be lame. Some of my favorite costumes ever are super simple. In fact, most of this list is like that!
And if you’re looking for last minute Halloween costumes for kids, don’t forget to raid the dress up bin. They might not be excited to wear something they play with daily, but you can use parts of those items in other ways! My architect costume is a great example where we used the construction worker hard hat to make a whole brand new costume!
