The blue sky hat is knit in the round with worsted weight yarn on circular knitting needles and double pointed knitting needles.

The cloud patters are added after the hat is complete using duplicate stitch for knitting. If you have not done a lot of duplicate stitch, don’t worry, I have a complete duplicate stitch tutorial to show you how, it’s really easy and it’s a great way to add color and pattern to your knitting projects after they’re finished without juggling a bunch of different colored strands of yarn.
