Bold Butterfly Hat Knitting Pattern

A fun and colorful bold butterfly hat knitting pattern is a quick and easy knitting project perfect for anyone from baby to kid to adult!

This fun and colorful butterfly hat knitting pattern is bold, bright and would be so cute in a bunch of fun butterfly color combinations. I re-designed this one several times and am very happy with the result.

For the sample I used shades of pink but I also considered shades of purple or shades of blue. You could even use black, orange and white for a monarch butterfly hat knitting pattern!

This cute and bold butterfly hat patter, is knit in the round with my standard, tried & true, tested basic hat knitting pattern which includes options to knit this project in any of six sizes from babies to toddler, to kids, to adults! It used circular knitting needles and double pointed knitting needles ( or you can use magic loop) and worsted weight yarn.

Then, the bold butterfly pattern is added at the end with duplicate stitch. Duplicate stitch is super easy knitting based embroidery. If you are new to duplicate stitch or need a refresher check out my detailed duplicated stitch in knitting tutorial.

Gauge: 19 stitches = 4 inches
