You guys, I can’t believe I waited this long to post this–some blogger I am! We were surprised and excited to meet Baby V almost two weeks early! She’s almost 4 weeks old now, and we’ve been busy getting to know her!
Considering O arrived a full five days after his due date, we were definitely not expecting an early arrival. But you know babies don’t listen to plans and schedules so we just had to go with it.
Since we don’t have immediate family in town, we had made two sets of backup plans with friends who could watch O until my parents got there if we had to go to the hospital. And of course Baby V decided the best day to arrive was the one day all month where they were both out of town. Luckily a quick phone call to my oldest friend and we were set.
I know there are pros and cons to having your kids close together vs farther apart, my brother and I were 4 1/2 years and O and Baby V are a full 5. In a lot of ways that’s great because he totally understands and has been adjusting well.
But on the other hand I completely forgot what having a newborn is like! I’m so tired! And omg, I can’t remember what it’s like using more than one hand to do anything!
But overall, I am really enjoying the sweet baby snuggles mixed in with a Spider-Man 5th birthday party and O’s first day of kindergarten! I seriously can’t believe he’s old enough for a full day of school!
Anyway, stick around, I will be continuing to post new projects and roundups all throughout my maternity leave, if you want to see more pics of Baby V, come follow me on Instagram!

I had no idea young man O was going to have a little sister! Where have I been? Look at that perfect skin and adorable face, arms & legs. Big brother looking down at her says it all – he’s gonna be a great big brother!
Big Brother O will have fun entertaining her with his train outfit that you so cleverly made of cardboard and maybe she’ll even get an engineers hat to go with the theme so she can play along.
Great idea for the frame for O’s first day at kindergarten. I have that fabric. Looks like you serged around the edges of the letters.
I don’t do instagram so you’d better be posting some O & V pictures right here!
Congratulations to you, your husband, O and, of course Baby V.
