Have fun outside at home with these super creative DIY yard games projects, you can make and enjoy all of these fun games yourself!
I don’t know about you, friends, but we are spending a TON of time in our backyard these days. We got a playhouse and a mini sandbox and better chairs this year. I guess we’re trying to make it the best backyard it can possibly be now that we’re in it all the time. And we have a tiny yard so it’s been a bit of a challenge.
Having a tiny yard is great for mowing the lawn, but less great for running around. One of the most fun things we’ve done is get a few yard games that we can stash in the garage and just get out when we want to play them. We’ve also pulled them out for class parties and block parties.
But I thought today we’d talk about DIY yard games you can make yourself. A lot of these would be fun projects to make in their own right, especially if your kids are into helping with this kind of thing. And then when you’re finished, you get a fun game to play with forever!
I can’t decide which one of these I want to make first, but I will tell you, that the giant stacking blocks (similar to Jenga) is always a hit with everyone. Our tiny toddler neighbor even likes it, she just stacks the blocks up and knocks them back down!
I also would love to make one of these DIY yard games that uses pvc pipe, it’s pretty easy to cut so I think it would be fun to get my kids involved in putting it together. Are you spending a lot more time in your backyard these days? Which DIY yard game is your favorite? Let’s check out the list!
Don’t want to make your own? Here are my favorite yard games that you can get delivered right to your doorstep!
