This adorable pencil scarf knitting pattern is the perfect Back to School knit or gift for teach appreciation, knit one today!

This cute and easy pencil scarf knitting pattern was actually designed last year, but it was too late in the summer for anyone to knit it before school started. So, this year we are making sure to release it early with plenty of time before school starts.

The good news is that this this is a quick and easy knitting project. The pencil scarf is knit flat with worsted weight yarn. It is knit primarily using garter stitch so it work be finished in no time. Color selection is key so make sure your pink, silver, mustard yellow and tan yarn colors look like pencils.

While this pencil scarf does have a “wrong” side of the knitting, it’s barely noticeable as different. It looks great when it’s tied around someone’s neck, no matter what side is showing!
If you knit a pencil scarf, I would love to see it! You might not be chilly enough for a scarf for back to school time but it sure is cute to wear all school year long!
