This adorable Peekaboo Bear Hat Knitting Pattern has a cute little Teddy Bear peeking out of the folded brim in front!
Ok, look. I think I’ve designed the cutest hat I’ve ever designed. The peekaboo bear hat knitting pattern has a tiny cute little teddy bear peeking out over the brim of the hat! His little paws! His tiny face! I want one for myself that’s how cute it is. I think he’s really looking for a hug here and I can’t imagine a kid who wouldn’t love this one! (Ok, maybe not my tween, but you know what I mean.
This adorably folded brim hat knitting pattern is knit in the round with worsted weight yarn. Then the peekaboo bear motif is added to the hat after the knitting is finished with duplicate stitch. For those of you who already know how to do duplicate stitch, this one will be a piece of cake.
And if you do not know how to do duplicate stitch, that’s ok! You’re in luck. it’s very easy AND I have a duplicate stitch tutorial. After a little practice you’ll be stitching up a storm. I actually find this method very relaxing, it’s kind of like a cross between knitting and counted cross stitch or something. And I also love it because you can add the design to a finished knit object which makes it soooo easy to get the placement exactly where you want it.
If you like the folded brim on this cute bear hat, you may want to tack it in place with a few tiny stitches to keep it folded up. This is also helpful if your little one tugs on their hat. It’ll keep the illusion that the bear is behind the brim intact!
Are you ready to knit your own peekaboo bear hat? Let’s go!
