2 Colorblock Folded Brim Hat Knitting Pattern

This bright and colorful folded brim hat knitting pattern is knit in any two colors of your choice in a cozy ribbed pattern.

This week we’re knitting up a bright and colorful color blocked folded brim hat knitting pattern. It has a thick chunky folded brim for extra warmth and an extra pop of color. Color choice is important for this one!

This easy ribbed folded brim hat pattern is knit in the round with worsted weight yarn using circular knitting needles for most of the knitting and double pointed knitting needles (or the magic loop method) for the decrease section at the top of the hat.

I’ve designed this pattern so that the ribbing lines up top to bottom even with the brim folded up. This may seem like a small detail but I think it really makes a difference!

My favorite cast on for hats is the long tail cast on and is what I specify for this easy hat knitting pattern but if you prefer something like a tubular cast on or alternating cable cast on for ribbing, go for it!

Sizes included: 0-3 months, (6 months, 1-2 years, 3-6 years, Child Large/Adult Small, Adult Large) Read our sizing guidelines post for more information.

Gauge: 19 stitches = 4 inches

• Worsted weight yarn
• US 7 (4.5 mm) 16″ circular knitting needles
• US 7 (4.5 mm) double pointed needles
• Yarn needle
