Little Pumpkin Beret Knitting Pattern

This year for Fall I wanted to design something a little slouchier and more fun so I though a slouchy pumpkin beret knitting pattern would be perfect. It looks incredibly cute on kids and adults alike and it’s a really quick and easy hat knitting pattern.

The pumpkin beret knitting pattern in knit in the round with worsted weight yarn on both US 7 (4.5 mm) circular knitting needles and double pointed knitting needles. The DPS’s are used to finish the top of the pumpkin hat and to knit the stem and cute curly icord vine.

An easy combo of knit and purl stitches, this beret gets its texture from what is basically a giant rib stitch. That makes it extra stretchy, gives it structure and makes it look like a pumpkin!

Sizes included: 0-3 months, (6 months, 1-2 years, 3-6 years, Child Large/Adult Small, Adult Large) Read our sizing guidelines post for more information.

Gauge: 19 stitches = 4 inches

• Worsted weight yarn
• US 7 (4.5 mm) 16″ circular knitting needles
• US 7 (4.5 mm) double pointed needles
• Yarn needle
