So I’ve been on a picture frame kick. We were cleaning out a cabinet and I found all our lovely family photos (by our friends Cadence & Eli) and I realized I hadn’t hung any of them up yet. All the photos on our walls were still without Baby V. So it was time! I grabbed this totally cute galvanized metal hanging frame thing at the craft store and decided it would become a frame. (If you’re looking for these in the craft store, they’re in the same aisle as the unfinished wood.) Here’s how I made this quick and easy galvanized metal hanging frame…

  1. First I cut a piece of posterboard the same size as the inside of the frame. DIY Industrial Galvanized Metal Hanging Picture Frame! | littleredwindow.com2. Then I cut a scrap of fabric that was about 1/2 inch wider on each side. I laid the fabric face down and centered the posterboard on top. Then while gently pulling it taut, I neatly glued the fabric to the back.  (I used fabric because this fabric matches Baby V’s nursery. But you could certainly also use scrapbook paper or something similar!) Then I cut the photo down a little, centered it on the fabric and glued it down. DIY Industrial Galvanized Metal Hanging Picture Frame! | littleredwindow.com4. At this point I realized that if I just glued the photo in as is, the knots from the twine would be in front of it. So I grabbed some little scraps of craft wood (leftover from this project) and glued a couple stacks into the metal frame so the photo would float closer to the front of the frame. Then I glued the photo on top of that. And that’s it!
