This cute witchy witch hat knitting pattern features a classic friendly smiling witch and is a fun and quick Halloween Hat knitting pattern to add to your list!
I have designed Halloween witch hat knitting patterns before. I have a classic witch hat knitting pattern that you can knit with or without the bow. I also have a stripey witch hat which I really love, that’s a fun one to knit.
This year, I decided that it was time for an actual witch hat knitting pattern! But of course, I prefer cute Halloween so this one is a friendly witch. We are deep into Harry Potter over here, and while none of the witches and wizards are green in that book, there are a lot of friendly ones, so that’s what we’re going with.
Baby V loves this one and I am particularly please with her warty nose. It’s the little details that really make a knitting project great, am I right?
This witchy Halloween witch hat knitting pattern in knit in the round on circular knitting needles with either double pointed knitting needles or the magic loop method used on the top of the hat for the decrease section.
This knitting pattern uses a few different techniques include a few rounds of Fair Isle knitting to add the witch’s spiky purple hair. As well as embroidery for the eyes and mouth. I promise, it’s easy though!
I also have to mention the cute nose. While it is knit separately and sewn on to the hat, it’s only takes a few minutes, I promise. You’ll use a french knot for the wart. If you aren’t familiar with a french knot, google it, it’s super easy. I promise I’ll add my own tutorial for that someday!
Now are you ready to knit a witchy witch hat? Let’s go!
