Pom Pom Penguin Hat Knitting Pattern

This adorably cute pom pom penguin hat knitting pattern has a cute little penguin wearing a scarf on top! This is a fun winter knit that your kids will love!

I have a few patterns like my pom pom penguin hat, I knit a pom pom snowman that is Baby V’s all-time favorite hat (or one of them at least) and I also released a set of pom pom pets hats which are super cute.

But this year I thought we really needed a pom pom penguin hat knitting pattern and I decided to try a new method for this one loosely based on how I knit a really cute snowman over the winter.

This technique is definitely a winner, you won’t believe how easy this is. No picking up fiddly stitches and this cute penguin hat is knit flat. I know a lot of you prefer that, so you’re in luck. This penguin knitting pattern does require a little bit of intarsia colorwork but it’s super easy peasy. And literallly 3 stitches of duplicate stitch for knitting. Don’t worry, I have a tutorial for duplicate stitch if you haven’t tried duplicate stitch before.

I promise, this is a fun and easy pattern, it will look underwhelming right before you sew it up, but I promise after that it will turn out so cute!

Pom Pom Penguin Hat Knitting Pattern

(includes Sizes 0-3 months, 6 months, 12 months, 2T+)

Gauge: 20 stitches = 4 inches

• Worsted weight yarn
• US 7 (4.5 mm) 16″ circular knitting needles
• US 7 (4.5 mm) double pointed needles
• Yarn needle
