So you guys, I just wanted to pop in and show you how I updated some holiday-specific wall art into something that you can keep up all year round! If you’ve been around for a while, you might remember this cute Valentine’s Day Wall Art I whipped up back in February…
I usually pack up all of my holiday decorations the week after the holiday (you know except for Christmas which I get to when I get to, you know what I’m saying?!) And by pack up, I mean carry them down to the basement and toss them haphazardly into a giant box… Anyway, I liked this gold frame project so much, I decided to switch a few things up and make it work for all year-round! Here’s how I did it…
Frame Wall Art Update
Laser cut wood sayings (I got mine at Michaels but THESE would be sooo cute in this project!)
Acrylic craft paint in gold (this is my FAVORITE shade of gold) and a couple other colors of your choice
First I picked two cute little laser cut wood sayings, one says, “Hello” and the other one says, “Hello Sunshine”. I also have ones that say “Love” and “Welcome”. Anything non-holiday-specific will work. I gave them each a coat of acrylic craft paint, one in golden yellow and one in a light aqua.
Then I took all the Valentine shapes off, and instead clipped up these cute sayings and a couple photos of the kids and my brother. And that’s it! A holiday project un-holiday-ified (that’s totally word, right?!) Didn’t it turn out cute?!
And it will be super easy to switch out photos or wood shapes whenever I want! You could add a fall leaf shape in August, or maybe a pumpkin near Halloween, a flower shape in spring or a snowflake in January! Piece of cake!
