Pretty up your own button jar with this super easy tutorial!
I mean, I hate to start ANOTHER post with my love affair with the Target dollar spot. But it’s true. I love it. I found this cute little corked bottle there the other day for $1. And it really was only $1. Because sometimes you pick up the cutest stuff in the dollar spot only to find out it’s actually one of those $3 items and actually not such a good deal. You know what I mean? I really hate it when that happens!
And then, on a trip to the craft store I was looking for vinyl for my new Silhouette machine. (side note: the craft store does not sell vinyl…I mean really?!?! It’s only like one of the trendiest craft supplies out there!) Anyway, wandering near the scrapbook area I saw these adorable removable lace stickers. They’re actually made of some kind of rubbery material.
I have totally been on a lace kick lately. I apologize if you’re getting sick of it. Or maybe I don’t. I was wondering the other day, actually, if I love it so much because I really really wanted a lace wedding dress but I couldn’t find one that worked. So I’m living out my love of lace in craft supply form? Or maybe that’s too psychological of an answer and I actually just like lace… who knows!
Anyway, long story short, I used that cute lace sticker on the corked jar and made myself a lovely little container to hold all my extra buttons!
DIY Lace Button Jar
Lace Stickers or real lace or paper lace
1. First, I made a template for the lace with a strip of paper. I just wanted to be sure of the length before I cut my lace since I only had one sticker.
2. Then I cut and applied the lace sticker. If you’re using real lace or paper lace, just use hot glue to affix it to the jar! And that’s it! Easiest project ever!

This is so cute! I actually have an almost identical jar, and I’ve been wondering what to do with it.
