Cabled Christmas Trees Knitting Pattern 2.0

This beautiful cabled Christmas Trees knitting pattern uses only faux cables to easily create beautiful heirloom Christmas decorations!

One of my all-time best selling knitting patterns are my Christmas trees. This year I wanted to make more of them. And I was inspired, oddly enough, by a review left by someone that that pattern, which is a set of cabled Christmas trees, had too many cables and they wouldn’t have purchased it if they had known.

To be honest, I found that bewildering because of course there are photos of the trees. Which are cabled. So I’m not sure how that was a surprise. But, whatever, we all have our days, right?

Anyway, it got me thinking and I decided to design a new set of cabled Christmas trees that doesn’t actually use any cable stitches. All three of these beautiful knit Christmas tree decorations use twisted stitches, or faux cables, to create the pretty cabled patterns.

No cable needs or stitch holders are required for these cabled trees! These pretty Cabled Christmas trees are knit in the round on either double pointed knitting needles or magic loop and using worsted weight yarn. Then I provide instructions to make them solid cones using materials you probably already have at home because who really wants to go back out to the store?

Gauge: 19 stitches = 4 inches

• Worsted weight yarn
• US 7 (4.5 mm) double pointed needles or use magic loop
• Yarn needle
• File folders
• Tape
• Scissors
