Ribbed Grid Hat Knitting Pattern

Simpler than it looks, the ribbed grid hat knitting pattern comes in six sizes from baby to adult and is full of gorgeous squishy texture!

The ribbed grid hat is a quick and easy knit that looks complicated but really isn’t. And it looks fantastic in just about any worsted weight yarn you’d like to use. This is a pretty orchid shade of Paintbox Simply Aran in tea rose which is one of my favorite color yarn lines. They make so many pretty colors!

This cute and easy hat pattern has a short repeat that is easy to memorize and a quick and easy decrease section that even makes the top of the hat look cute! To complete the decrease you will need to use double pointed knitting needles or the magic loop method.

The ribbed grid hat is knit in the round on circular knitting needles with worsted weight yarn and is a great hat knitting pattern for beginners. As long as you can knit and purl in the round and know how to k2tog you should be all set. I promise, it’s easy!

Sizes included: 0-3 months, (6 months, 1-2 years, 3-6 years, Child Large/Adult Small, Adult Large) Read our sizing guidelines post for more information.

Gauge: 19 stitches = 4 inches

• Worsted weight yarn
• US 7 (4.5 mm) 16″ circular knitting needles
• US 7 (4.5 mm) double pointed needles
• Yarn needle
