This classic jack-o’-lantern trick-or-treat bag knitting pattern is so much fun to knit and perfect for Halloween!

I haven’t designed a project that I was this excited about in a while, but I am tickled with how well my Jack-o’-Lantern Trick-or-Treat Bag Knitting Pattern turned out. I love every single bit of it from the perfect ribbed pumpkin shape to the cute jack-o’-lantern face. The ONLY downfall to this entire pattern is how incredibly difficult and annoying it is to type the phrase “Jack-o’-Lantern Trick-or-Treat Bag”. I have to type it at like 1/3 speed.
Aside from that, this knit version of a classic Jack-o’-Lantern Trick-or-Treat bucket will be loved by your kids for years to come. It’s knit in the round with worsted weight yarn. The perfect pumpkin colors I’ve used come from Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice line in pumpkin and kelly green.
The handle of the bag is knit flat and added at the end and it’s nice and sturdy and comfortable to hold by hand or over a shoulder. I also decided to add a base inside the bag to help it keep it’s pumpkin shape whether it’s empty or full. That also prevents it from stretching way down when you have a lot of candy.
Are you ready to knit your own Jack-o’-Lantern Trick-or-Treat Bag? I hope so because I never want to type that phrase again!
