Whether your working on a crochet project or colorwork knitting, this easy to print knitting project graph paper is perfect for planning!

Whether you do corner to corner (C2C) crochet projects or you want to modify or design some Intarsia or Fair Isle knitting projects and designs, having some graph paper is super handy. However, as a designer, I’ve found that most commercially available graph paper doesn’t have enough squares for a knitting project.
A design will quickly outgrow the page of paper when your project uses more than 50 stitches or so, which, let’s be honest, is most of them. So I designed my own knitting project graph paper and made it a free download for you.
This free printable graph paper is simple and easy with slightly darker graph lines every 8 stitches which is a fairly common knitting pattern repeat width.
I have used this printable graph paper for Intarsia knitting projects, duplicate stitch knitting projects and Fair Isle knitting projects. It’s also great if you like to make your own knitting charts or you like to translate a written knitting pattern into a charted knitting pattern. Just use one square to equal one knit stitch and you’re all set!
